Back Flow Preventers are used to prevent water that has gone to the consumer from the city or county water supply from going back into that very same water supply.  McElroy can provide Design, installation, maintenance and inspection for back flow preventers.  We can also set up a periodic maintenance and inspection schedule to ensure your compliance with the State Statutes.

Hydro-Excavation

Hydro Excavation is a non-destructive excavation method using pressurized water and a vacuum system to dig. 

McElroy can perform safe, non-destructive digging for contractors, municipalities, utility companies and industrial facilities. Our vacuum excavation method uses pressurized water and a powerful vacuum to remove soil from any type of ground condition.  

Our hydro-excavation system virtually eliminates the risk of damaging existing underground infrastructures such as expensive fiber optic cables, electric cables, water pipes, sanitary pipes and dangerous gas lines. Hydro-Excavation is a very versatile tool. 

Some of the uses include pipeline crossings, concrete piers, day lighting or potholing, culvert cleaning, footers and foundations, sewer and water taps and shoring installations, and utility and light pole installations.

Pipe-Bursting

Replace utilities without disturbing surface structures.  Pipe bursting has several distinct advantages over open-cut trenching and other trenchless rehabilitation methods.

McElroy chooses Pipe-Bursting as a form of Trenchless pipeline replacement.  This method allows the customer to replace size for size or to upsize, up to two (2) sizes, an existing pipeline system with minimal surface disruption.  We can assist in writing specifications, using this technology, for our customers and interested engineering firms.
